Build the future of the profession.
TXCPA’s Talent and Workforce Development efforts connect educators, members, and future CPAs to strengthen the accounting pipeline across Texas.
Through statewide outreach, local chapters, and member volunteers, we’re growing awareness of accounting careers and helping students see a clear path to becoming CPAs.
Our goal: Reach 16,000 Texas students each year with meaningful exposure to the profession.
Why the CPA Pipeline Matters
The future of the profession depends on access, awareness and opportunity.
When students understand what CPAs do—and see themselves in the profession—they are more likely to pursue it. TXCPA is building that awareness early, from elementary school through college and supporting every step along the journey.
We are actively advancing a coordinated, statewide CPA Pipeline Strategy aligned with national priorities, including the National Pipeline Advisory Group (NPAG) framework and six key themes guiding the future of the profession.
How TXCPA Builds the Pipeline
TXCPA’s Pipeline Strategy brings together:
- 20 local chapters across Texas
- Member volunteers and firm partners
- Educators and academic institutions
- National alignment with evolving workforce needs
It focuses on:
- Expanding awareness of accounting careers
- Increasing access to the profession across all student levels
- Supporting educators and volunteers with scalable tools
- Aligning outreach with national NPAG priority themes
- Strengthening collaboration across chapters and partners
This structure ensures consistent, high-impact outreach across all regions and student levels.
