TXCPA’s Awards Luncheon was held on Friday, June 21 as part of the Annual Meeting of Members in New Orleans. James Bland, CPA—Tyler, was recognized during the luncheon as a 50-Year Fellow, bestowed on an individual who has distinguished himself/herself as a member of TXCPA for 50 years. Former TXCPAET Executive Director Ann Tague was also recognized as an Honorary Member for her 28 years of service to the chapter. Honorary Member is presented to a person who is not eligible for regular TXCPA membership but who has distinguished himself/herself within the accounting profession on a statewide basis. Kathy Kapka was recognized by Immediate Past Chairman Stephen Parker as one of his Special Recognition Honorees for creating and teaching the free ethics course offered to all members.  Congratulations to James, Ann and Kathy!
