CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

Programs comply with the Continuing Education Standards and Rules adopted by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA).

The Texas Society of CPAs Registry ID with NASBA is #148647.

The Texas Society of CPAs, Sponsor ID with Texas State Board of Accountancy is #260.

Participant credit is given based on actual attendance. Some programs may qualify for other license or credential credit types. This information will be noted in the program description.

For live in-person events, attendance is recorded through the use of physical “sign-in” sheets or the use of an attendance monitoring application depending on the size of the event. For synchronous webinars, attendance is recorded through the use of an attendance monitoring feature within the system used for broadcasting the event. The monitoring system randomly displays different event codes at least four times per credit hour, and those codes must be submitted by the attendee through the system at the end of the event to receive full CPE credit. For on-demand learning, attendance is recorded by the learning management system through the successful completion of an online exam.

Participant credit is given based on actual attendance time. For live events, late arrivals and/or early departures will be captured manually and notated on the physical sign in sheet or will be captured by the attendance monitoring application. For webinars, late arrivals and/or early departures will be captured by the submission of participant codes within the attendance monitoring application within the webinar broadcasting application.

In the case of an unscheduled, extended break, CPE credit hours will be adjusted accordingly, and participants notified of the adjustment.
