Elf Instructions

  1. Purchase an age-appropriate toy and a set of clothes for your child. Your child's sizes are listed on your gift tag. You can find toy suggestions by using your favorite search engine or asking a friend or colleague with similar-aged children.
  2. Wrap the toy and the clothes set SEPARATELY
  3. Stick tag(s) (below) on the packages. Each child should have at least 2 packages. The third tag is optional. Please use lots of tape and wrap it securely
  4. Packages will be grouped and bagged for delivery – they will be handled several times before reaching your child.  Please use lots of tape and wrap it securely
  5. You will be assigned a drop-off date and time  TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Some of these kids are homeless, some live below the poverty line.  When possible, choose toys with fewer parts to get lost and no batteries.  Or consider purchasing extra batteries to include with your gift if the toy requires them.
  • When purchasing your clothing items, please keep in mind that these children need things most of us may take for granted, like socks, underwear, pajamas, hats, gloves, etc.
  • When wrapping your gifts, please keep in mind that these items get transported multiple times.  While bows and ribbon are wonderful, we would rather those few extra dollars be spent on a sturdy box and extra tape! THE MORE TAPE THE BETTER!
  • Please keep the dates in mind, and distribute your gift tags promptly, to make sure you allow enough time to shop, receive online orders, wrap the gifts and get them returned to the Chapter.
  • Tags with each child’s clothing and toy information will be EMAILED to you by NOVEMBER 7th.  You can print or email the tags to those buying the gifts, but ALL GIFTS must have the appropriate tag.  This is very important to make sure the gifts get to the correct person and place.  PLEASE make sure the tag is SECURELY affixed to the gift.  THE MORE TAPE THE BETTER!
