TXCPA Houston 2020-2021 Outstanding Committee Member - Young Professionals Committee

Cara joined TXCPA Houston as a new licensee in 2019 when she received her Texas reciprocity. She actively participated in 2020 virtual open houses and networking events, including those of the Young Professionals Committee. It quickly became evident that Cara had the leadership and communication skills and to re-invigorate the committee. Armed with suggestions to create valuable events and achieve growth, Cara was a dynamic source of ideas. Among her ideas was a “Create a Meme” happy hour which provided young professionals with fun networking time. She also led plans for future events featuring speakers who will share their advice for career experiences and success. Cara has done an incredible job of engaging young professionals.
