Texas—General Administrative Provisions—Tax filing/payment relief for taxpayers affected by Tropical Storm Alberto.
Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation declaring a state of disaster in certain Texas counties on June 19, 2024, due to the impact of Tropical Storm Alberto. The affected counties include: Aransas, Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bexar, Brazoria, Brooks, Calhoun, Cameron, Chambers, DeWitt, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, Frio, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Harris, Hidalgo, Jackson, Jefferson, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kenedy, Kinney, Kleberg, LaSalle, Lavaca, Live Oak, Matagorda, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, Nueces, Orange, Real, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Uvalde, Val Verde, Victoria, Webb, Wharton, Willacy, Wilson, Zapata, and Zavala counties. Taxpayers affected by the disaster may be eligible for an extension of time to file and pay taxes due. Extensions are available upon request only.
