The Mary Alice Tidwell Service Award recognizes a TXCPA Permian Basin member who has distinguished himself/herself in the local community, TXCPA Permian Basin and the CPA profession. This award is based on contributions to charitable, community and/or civic activities; and the encouragement of other CPAs to actively participate, make substantial contributions to and become leaders in their communities, the chapter and the profession. Volunteer and professional service related to TXCPA, TXCPA Permian Basin and/or the profession is considered. The award will be presented each year at TXCPA Permian Basin’s January Chapter Meeting.
Criteria to be considered includes:
- CPA certificate
- At least 25 years as a member of TXCPA in good standing
- Participation and recognized leader in community, charitable and other civic activities on the local, state or national level on an ongoing basis.
- Participation and recognized leader in TXCPA, TXCPA Permian Basin and/or the profession, on an ongoing basis.
- Encouragement of participation in community, charitable and other civic activities on the local, state or national level; as well as, participation in TXCPA, TXCPA Permian and/or the profession.
- Outstanding leadership on a consistent basis for a number of years before, and possibly after, his/her retirement from his/her working career.
