TXCPAST Scholarships
TXCPA Southeast Texas (TXCPAST) established a scholarship program whose purpose is to provide scholarship assistance to accounting students who plan to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and enter the accounting profession. To be considered for a scholarship, a student must:
- Be a student member of TXCPA. Membership for students is free!
- Be a junior or senior accounting major/graduate/certificate student in accounting attending Lamar University for fall 2025, planning to become a Certified Public Accountant and entering the accounting profession upon graduation.
- Completed Intermediate Accounting I with a “B” or higher on the first attempt.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Accounting courses.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green-card holder).
Optional but suggested:
- Community involvement
- Participation in TXCPA Southeast Texas activities
