Anderson HS Internship Program
As we gear up for another exciting year for our Anderson@work business internship program, I am reaching out with hope you are interested in participating for the 2024-2025 year and to gather information to create a resource for students to reach out to business partners directly.
To facilitate this process, I have created a Google Form for interested businesses to complete. The information gathered through this form will help students determine opportunities that align with their interests and skill sets. The spreadsheet containing the details of participating businesses will be shared with students mid-May, allowing students to reach out directly to potential employers.
The internship is scheduled to begin on August 29 and I encourage students to secure a position by August 1. Once a business has interviewed and offered a student a position, please inform me via email so I can update our records accordingly and other students will know the opportunity is no longer available.
Your participation in this program makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our aspiring young professionals while also contributing to the growth and development of our community.

Interview Resume Workshop Flyer 2024
Free Interview/Rèsumè Review Workshop
Saturday, April 27, 2024; 10am-1:30pm, ACC Northridge Campus
Students/Candidates and early career CPAs are encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to participate in a mock interview and also receive feedback on your rèsumè. Experienced CPA volunteers will be on hand to assist in this endeavor and we’ll have some light bites and drinks available, too.

Career Fair – November 11, 2023, 10 a.m.- Noon
More than 50 students, along with local CPA firms and businesses participated in the 2023 TXCPA Austin/ACC Career Fair on the ACC Highland Campus.
Free Mock CPA Exam – October 11, 2023, 3 p.m.
Where: TXCPA Austin office | Training Room
We are partnering with Surgent for students and candidates to take a mock CPA exam (one portion of the exam). You are invited to take the exam at the chapter office and afterwards enjoy some food and drink and talk with accounting faculty about exam taking strategies.
Update: We had a great turnout for the Mock CPA Exam - be on the lookout for our next offering! Thank you Dr. Larry Stephens, CPA and Jay Thibodeaux, CPA for answering exam strategy questions and supporting accounting students in their journey to licensure!
